Spring Western Ringtail Possum Tally

The Spring Western Ringtail Possum Tally is a month long population count of Western Ringtail Possums allowing community participants to help us find out where this endangered species lives across the Margaret River and Busselton regions.

The Tally enables the community to contribute to western ringtail possum conservation by counting possums living in their garden, on their property or in local bushland over a period of a month. Data collected will contribute to a better understanding of the distribution of western ringtail possums in the region as a basis for conservation action.

The Tally will run between September 21 and October 21 and is supported by a generous donation from the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association and is part of a Nature Conservation Western Ringtail Possum Conservation Program funded by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.
Tally registrations opened on National Threatened Species Day, Thursday 7 September so register NOW on GeoCatch’s website www.geocatch.asn.au.
