  • Margaret River Community Planting Event Sunday 28th June at 9.00 am

    Join Nature Conservation for a community planting event at the Shire River Reserve off Ashton St. This event is part of a larger revegetation project involving local schools. The area is important for the critically endangered Western ringtail possum and the revegetation will enhance and increase the available habitat.

  • Possum Conservation in the Margaret River Region Thursday 25 June at 5.30 – 6.30 pm

    Join Nature Conservation for a presentation on Western ringtail possum conservation. Topics will include: An update on Nature Conservation’s possum project; The wildlife of Augusta; Prescribed burns and protecting wildlife; Common injuries seen by carers; Non-native trees and possums.

    Join the Friends of Gracetown/ Cowaramup Bay and Nature Conservation Margaret River Region for a revegetation planting and placement of brush on Melaleuca Beach. Come along and help us protect the dunes that represent the backbone of this beautiful beach.

    Join the Friends of Gracetown/ Cowaramup Bay, Cowaramup Bay Boardriders and Nature Conservation Margaret River Region for a revegetation planting and placement of brush around Huzzas and the South Point Carpark. This is a great opportunity to give back to the coast that we all love and gain so much enjoyment from!
