Nature Conservation is seeking project officers and/or environmental consultants to join our team

Nature Conservation is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified and experienced people to join our team as project officers and/or consultants.

We wish to fill a number of project officer roles (1.2 FTE in total) to deliver projects and in addition, we are seeking people to join a pool of consultants with the skills and experience to undertake environmental assessments and develop management plans.

The option to work in a staff position as a project officer and to also provide consulting services is open to suitable candidates.

We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking people with tertiary qualifications in environmental science, natural resource management or the equivalent experience, and skills and experience in at least some of the following areas:

• Environmental management
• Coastal rehabilitation
• Weed mapping and control
• Revegetation planning and implementation
• Working with volunteers and landholders
• Community engagement and communication
• Experience in GIS, field mapping, and developing and managing spatial datasets
• Project, client and stakeholder management
• Vegetation condition, flora and fauna surveys and assessments
• Management plan development
